Beconase Hayfever Relief for Adults nasal spray pack

Where to get Beconase in Gillingham

Beconase is a beclometasone steroid nasal spray for hay fever, sold over the counter for adults aged 18 and over. It is the right choice when a blocked or runny nose is your main symptom, because antihistamine tablets do little for congestion.

You can pick it up today at Medway Pharmacy, 465 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 5LJ. We are a well-stocked independent pharmacy, Pharmacy of the Year 2025, open 100 hours a week, 7:30am to 10pm every day. No appointment needed: walk in, or call 01634 575805 and one of our pharmacists will help.

About Beconase

What it is for
Beconase Hayfever Relief for Adults is a steroid nasal spray that prevents and treats hay fever symptoms such as sneezing, a runny or blocked nose and itchy eyes.
Suitable for
Adults aged 18 and over
Active ingredient
Beclometasone dipropionate 50 micrograms per spray
Medicine type
General sale medicine, available straight from the shelf

How to use it

Adults aged 18 and over use two sprays into each nostril twice a day, morning and evening, up to a maximum of eight sprays a day. Once symptoms are under control you can often drop to one spray in each nostril twice a day. Shake the bottle, tilt your head slightly forward and aim the nozzle towards the outer wall of the nostril, not the middle. It can take several days to feel the benefit and up to two weeks for full effect, so keep using it every day through the season, and speak to us if you are no better after seven days.

Who should check with us first

Not for anyone under 18, and not for use for more than three months without seeing a GP. Speak to our pharmacists first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an eye condition such as glaucoma or cataracts, have had recent nasal surgery or an untreated nose infection, or if you take steroid tablets or other steroid inhalers or sprays.

Always read the label and the leaflet.
