About This Service

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up that looks at your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and kidney disease. It takes 20–30 minutes and gives you a personalised cardiovascular risk score with practical advice on how to stay healthy.

What to Expect

3. 3Blood sugar and diabetes risk assessment
4. 4A personalised cardiovascular risk score (low, moderate, or high)
5. 5Lifestyle advice and referrals to support services if needed

Who Is This For?

• Available to adults aged 40–74
• Not already diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, or kidney disease
• You should be invited every 5 years — you can also ask us directly
