Mounjaro and Wegovy Prices in Medway: What You'll Actually Pay

If you're searching for the cheapest place to buy Mounjaro or Wegovy in the UK, I'd gently push back on the question before answering it. The cheapest price and the safest price are not always the same thing, and with weight loss injections specifically, that gap has become dangerous. Here's what real pricing looks like, why it varies so much between providers, and how to tell a properly regulated service from one that will happily sell to anyone with a card number.

How Much Do Mounjaro and Wegovy Actually Cost?

Prices increase as your dose increases, which is normal, you start low and build up gradually over weeks or months. As a current market guide from major UK online pharmacy services:

• Mounjaro (tirzepatide): from around £179 a month for the starting 2.5mg dose, rising at higher doses. Manufacturer wholesale prices increased across UK providers on 1 September 2025, which is why the figures you see now are higher than older articles online suggest.
• Wegovy injection (semaglutide): roughly £89 a month at the lowest 0.25mg starting dose, up to around £199 a month at the 2.4mg maintenance dose.
• Wegovy tablet: a newer oral option, from around £79 to £99 a month at the lowest dose, rising to over £200 at the higher doses.

Why Do Prices Vary So Much Between Providers?

Partly it's the manufacturer. Eli Lilly (Mounjaro) and Novo Nordisk (Wegovy) set wholesale prices that providers then build a service fee on top of, and those wholesale prices have moved more than once in the last two years. Partly it's what's actually bundled into the headline figure. A genuinely fair price should reflect:

• A real clinical assessment before you're prescribed anything, not a tick-box form
• The medicine itself, dispensed from a genuine, traceable supply chain
• Ongoing check-ins as your dose increases, rather than a one-off transaction
• Someone you can actually contact if you get side effects

Red Flags: Avoiding Unregulated and Counterfeit Sellers

This is not a hypothetical risk. The MHRA reported that it seized nearly 20 million doses of illegally traded medicines in 2025 alone, worth an estimated £45 million, a significant proportion of which were fake or unlicensed weight-loss injections sold through social media and beauty salons. One raid in Northampton uncovered a full unlicensed manufacturing operation, complete with packaging machinery and thousands of counterfeit pens ready for dispatch. The MHRA's own warning is blunt: “if something looks or feels wrong, it probably is,” and illegally sold products may contain the wrong dose or harmful substances entirely.

Signs you're looking at an unregulated seller:

• No proper consultation, just an order form or a DM on social media
• A price dramatically below the ranges listed above, with no explanation of why
• Sold through a beauty salon, gym, or private social media account rather than a registered pharmacy
• Packaging that looks slightly different, misspelt, or arrives without proper labelling

Can You Get Mounjaro Free on the NHS?

Sometimes, but access is still narrow. Since June 2025, NHS England guidance has allowed GPs to prescribe tirzepatide for people with a BMI of 40 or more (37.5 for South Asian, Chinese, other Asian, Middle Eastern, Black African or African-Caribbean backgrounds) who also have four or more weight-related health conditions. It's a phased rollout, roughly 220,000 people are expected to be covered over the first three years, prioritising the highest clinical need first.
